Oceans and lakes are heavily affected by climate change, and we are only beginning to understand the magnitude of these changes. Increased temperature and extreme weather conditions, such as heat waves, will bring shifts in the distribution of fish stocks and have adverse effects on aquaculture production. We need to adapt.

In view of the above, the ClimeFish project together with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), will organise the 2020 International Forum on the Effects of Climate Change on Fisheries and Aquaculture. The objective of this event is to showcase tools, the latest scientific outputs and lessons learnt on providing climate change adaptation strategies to policy makers, industry representatives and scientists. We wish to build a network among these groups by fostering interaction and dialogue.

Please save the date in your calendars to join the event on this matter of utmost importance. More information and practical details regarding the event will follow in due course.
