FEAP calls for simplification, realism, science-based governance, besides the launching of a coherent EU food production policy.
The Federation of European Aquaculture Producers would like to alert you on an urgent matter challenging European aquaculture, a worrying trend which is undermining the sector potential to unfold its sustainable and transformative activity for European food security. European aquaculture is suffocating under an oppressive legal framework, making it lose the race to imports from countries lacking our trusted, necessary but very demanding EU standards of production.
To address this situation and allow the sector to become a real champion in sustainable, profitable, and resilient food production, FEAP calls for simplification, realism, science-based governance, besides the launching of a coherent EU food production policy.
Read our statement here. It contains proposals and list of concrete actions, which we want to disseminate largely to EU and Member state policy makers.
